The Chelsea Teddy Bear Co. has created a special teddy bear to benefit the patients and families at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Women’s Hospital. The plush, 12-inch bears will sell for $16 each, with a portion of the proceeds going to the children’s hospital and women’s hospital building project, and the Patient and Family Centered Care programs at Mott.

The Mott Holiday Bears can be purchased at all local MDen stores—including the store in Michigan Stadium, the following Ann Arbor stores: Treetown Toys, Jungle Java, Jump City, Children’s Orchard, Nicola’s Books, Peaceable Kingdom, MidWest Financial Credit Union branches—including the branch inside U-M Hospital—U-go’s locations in the Michigan Union, the Michigan League, and in Pierpont Commons on U-M’s North Campus, as well as at Laurel Park Place in Livonia and Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi.

Mott Holiday Bears also will be available for purchase online from Chelsea Teddy Bear Company and MDen.

The Mott Community Relations office will be selling bears as well and accepting donated Mott Holiday Bears, which will be given to patients in the hospital during the holiday season. For more information call 734-764-6874 or e-mail.

Join us for the 16th annual Save A Heart Celebration at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at the Michigan League (911 N. University, Ann Arbor). The event features more than 100 wines from around the world, food samples from Ann Arbor area restaurants, a silent auction and live music. The proceeds from this event will be divided between programs in the Congenital Heart Center and the construction fund for the Congenital Heart Center in the new C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.

Buy a “M GO BLUE for Mott” rally scarf, and show your support for the University of Michigan and the campaign for the U-M C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Women’s Hospital fundraising campaign. The scarves can be purchased at M-Den and local Meijer stores. The 60-inch maize and blue scarves sell for $10, with a portion of the proceeds going to the new hospital campaign.
