Welcome to the Michigan Metabolomics and Obesity Center
The MMOC was created with a generous contribution from the U-M Endowment for the Basic Sciences. The Center will serve as the focal point for the study of metabolism, metabolomics and obesity on the University of Michigan campus. The goals of the Center are to:
- facilitate interaction among researchers from across the University
- to enhance collaborative studies; and
- to speed the translation of basic science findings into clinically useful therapies for metabolic diseases including obesity, type 2 diabetes and related metabolic disorders.
The Center is the primary institution on campus dedicated to obesity intervention and patient satisfaction.
