Austin and Michaela
Where fashion and flight can co-exist.
Missy Davert, Michaela and Austin's mother, has Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Their father, Ken, has cerebral palsy. Despite Missy's condition she was able to carry and give birth to the twins. They inherited her disability - a brittle bone disease that causes your bones to fracture easily and affects growth. U-M C.S. Mott Children's Hospital has helped them in many ways, including performing multiple surgeries to help straighten and strengthen their bones. The surgeries have had a tremendous impact on the strength of their bones and their mobility. Austin loves to fly planes and Michela is into art and fashion.
