This year’s honored Yamada Lectureship speaker is Dr. Mary Estes, Professor, Department of Molecular Virology and Microbiology (MVM) and in Medicine-Gastroenterology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She is also Co-Director of the Translational Biology and Molecular Medicine Graduate Program and a member of the prestigious National Academy of Sciences. Dr. Estes talk is entitled, “Understanding Human Noroviruses.”
We look forward to seeing all of our membership in attendance, sharing some fellowship and most importantly viewing your exciting laboratory research.
We are also pleased to announce that Dr. Charles A. Parkos, M.D., Carl V. Weller Professor and Chair, and Department of Pathology, Dr. Asma Nusrat M.D., Professor Anatomic Pathology and Department of Pathology, and Dr. Christiane Wobus, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, will honor us with presentations highlighting their exciting new research efforts.
As always, currently funded Peptide Center pilot project investigators are required to present a poster at this meeting. If you are not funded through the Center but have a research poster that you would like to present at the retreat you are kindly encouraged and gratefully welcomed to do so. Last year we had over 50 excellent poster presentations and we have room for a lot more.
If you would like to present a poster at this year’s retreat, please notify Pam Varga by email (email@example.com) or phone 647-2942 on or before February 8. It would be helpful if you had the title of your poster and abstract at that time.
