MGPRC Annual Retreat
Saturday, January 26, 2008

On the heals of our successful and popular meeting this past January, the Michigan Gastrointestinal Peptide Research Center once again invites you to participate in its annual retreat on the 4th floor in the Palmer Commons facility, which is located on the University of Michigan central campus on Palmer Drive Development at 100 Washtenaw Avenue, on Saturday, January 26, 2008 from 8:00-1:30 p.m.

Our distinguished guest speaker will be Marshall (Chip) H. Montrose, Ph.D., Professor and Chairman of the Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology at The University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Montrose's talk is entitled, "Dynamic defense of the epithelial barrier in the GI tract".

All currently funded Peptide Center pilot project investigators are required to present a poster at this meeting. If you are not funded through the Center but have a research poster that you would like to present at the retreat you are encouraged to do so. Last year we had over 30 excellent poster presentations and we have room for a lot more.

If you would like to present a poster at this year's retreat, please notify Pam Varga by email (pglazer@umich.edu) or phone 647-2942 on or before December 15, 2007. It would be helpful if you had the title of your poster at that time.

Details of the 2009 retreat will be forthcoming.
