MFit Nutrition Coaches are registered dietitians, degreed nutrition experts you can trust. Whether you're unsure of
how to balance your caloric and nutritional needs, trying to make sense of conflicting nutritional information or just
looking for support in your continued weight loss efforts, an MFit Nutrition Coach will help you in a non-judgmental,
confidential way. You can benefit from MFit Nutrition Coaching if you are over 18 years of age and:

Nutrition Assessment - This is a structured conversation with a registered dietitian to
evaluate your eating habits, your current lifestyle and health status.
Personal Goal Setting - Your MFit Nutrition Coach will help you identify strategies to reach your goals,
whether you want to lose weight or gain weight, increase energy, improve health or reduce the risk of disease, or
you just want help sorting through all of the nutrition information.
Personal Eating Plan - Based on your nutrition assessment, lifestyle issues and goals, your
MFit Nutrition Coach will help you create a new way of eating that you can sustain and enjoy for a lifetime.
Healthy Eating information - You'll receive nutrition information tailored to your needs.
Individualized attention and guidance move you towards success in reaching your healthy eating goals.
Optional Follow-Up Visits - Success achieving and maintaining your goals is much more likely
when you meet with your MFit Nutrition Coach again to celebrate your progress, discuss barriers you face and
receive support and encouragement. Follow-up visits may also include an individualized grocery shopping tour or
dining out experience with your MFit Nutrition Coach.

Healthy Eating Checkup: This 60 minute initial appointment focuses on assessing your current lifestyle and
eating habits in order to identify your healthy eating strengths and areas that need attention. Your current
health, activity level, habits, and beliefs will be considered as we develop a plan to meet
your goals. This session prepares you to make positive changes and move forward with a healthy eating plan and
is the prerequisite to the follow-up appointments.
The Healthy Eating Check-Up is available at a reduced price when you also purchase an
MFit Personal Training package or service.
Follow-Up Appointments: Be successful at maintaining healthy lifestyle changes with follow-up
appointments. Follow-up appointments are purchased in packages of three thirty-minute sessions that can be used
over the course of a year to provide on-going support. You can choose to use these meetings in a variety
of ways:
- Three One-on-One Support Sessions: Use the appointments to help you stay on track and address any
questions or concerns you may have about how to achieve your goals. You can also use the time to learn
more about making healthy choices when eating out (bring menus from your favorite restaurants) grocery
shopping, label reading, creating recipe make-overs, handling seasonal eating challenges, or other areas
of your choice.
- Individualized Supermarket Tour: Meet your Nutrition Coach at an Ann Arbor supermarket of your choice
for an hour-long tour that is personalized to you and your health needs. You have the complete attention
of your coach and can ask all the questions you want. This hour-long tour takes two of the three
thirty-minute appointments. The third appointment is used as a One-on-One Support Session.
- Individualized Dining Out: If you have difficulty making healthy choices when you
eat out, take your Nutrition Coach along to point out healthier options. Visit any Ann Arbor restaurant
for an in-depth discussion of the menu and assistance with ordering a healthy meal. Your Nutrition Coach
leaves when your food arrives. Individualized Dining Out takes two of the three thirty-minute appointments.
The third appointment is used as a One-on-One Support Session.

How do I choose the program that's right for me? |

Nutrition Coaching Packages: MFit offers different packages to suit your specific needs. The
Healthy Eating Checkup is a good place to start, as it is the prerequisite to the other Nutrition Coaching
options. Upon completing it, you may wish to discuss your options for ongoing support with your Nutrition Coach.
MFit offers discounted rates for enrolled U of M students, U-M staff and retirees, and MFit Fitness Center
Members. Gift Certificates are available at the MFit Fitness Center desk at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube or by calling
MFit's main office at 734-975-3024.

MFit has a nutrition coaching office at the MFit Fitness Center at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube located at 2121
Oak Valley Drive in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Appointments are available on Mondays between 4 and 8 pm. If Monday does
not work for you, you can discuss other options with the Nutrition Coach by calling 734-975-3060 or emailing
