Become a Wellness Champion!

consider helping us spread the word about MFit and MHealthy wellness
programs to the folks in your department - become a Wellness Champion
today!
Wellness Champions for the Michigan Healthy Community
Initiative play an important role in reaching out and engaging UM’s
faculty and staff within their work unit. Their ability to effectively
communicate with their work unit about the programs and resources
available, to encourage them to take advantage of these services,
and to champion the creation of a healthy workplace culture in their
unit will be key to our success in improving the health and well-being
of UM’s faculty and staff.
As a Wellness Champion, you would:
- Receive regular communications from the Michigan
Healthy Community project team.
- Distribute fliers, posters, brochures and announcements
on wellness programs to co-workers in your department.
- Reserve a "Healthy Minute" in your
regular staff meeting, to pass along information about upcoming
wellness events and programs.
- Encourage members of your department to participate
in Wellness programs!
- Create an MHealthy bulletin board in your work
area with wellness information that we distribute.
- Be an enthusiastic liaison to the Michigan Healthy
Community project team!
