The MFit Health Education Resource Center (HERC)
was developed with the whole person in mind. The HERC offers programs
and educational materials to meet your various health needs throughout
your lifetime. The HERC can provide you with information on caring
for aging parents, maintaining your own health, parenting girls and
boys, stress management, and much more. We strive to provide what
consumers ask for in health care services and information in a warm
and caring environment.
UMHS patients, health care providers, employees, and the community
can use this web site to search the resources of our comprehensive
health information
library. To request additional information or check-out materials
from the HERC, you may register
on-line, email your requests, or call our library at 734-647-5645,
or toll free at 1-800-433-MFIT (6348).
Walk-in hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, however
we are closed daily from 12:30 - 1:00 pm for lunch. The HERC is
located on the first floor of the East Ann Arbor Health & Geriatrics
Center, 4260 Plymouth Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48109.
Holiday Hours
Through the end of 2008 the Herc will be open the following hours:
- Mondays and Thursdays - 9-5pm (closed for lunch 12:30-1:00)
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays - 9-12:30
- Fridays - Closed
The Herc will be closed on the following days:
- Thanksgiving
- Day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve (half day)
- Christmas
- Day after Christmas
- New Year's Eve (half day)
- New Year's Day
