What do I need to watch the videos and listen to the audio?

To watch the videos , you will need to download the free Quicktime 7 player.

Download Quicktime 7

The video files are encoded in the Mp4 format. The audio files are recorded in Mp3 format. These files can be watched on either a PC or Mac computer or a on a portable device. If you intend on using a device other than an iPod, you most likely will need a media player installed that can play these formats.

One such player available for purchasing for watching the videos on devices other than an iPod:

Does it matter if I am using Mac or PC?

The videos are encoded in a universal format ( Mp4) that is understood by many devices and media playback applications. 4) From the Quicktime menu options accross the top select "Window."

5) Select "Show A/V Controls."

6) Below is where you can change the speed:

For applications other than Quicktime, you will have to explore that media player to see if they have a similar function.

Can I speed up or slow the video and audio on the iPod?

Yes and no. You cannot affect the speed of a video on the iPod, but you may be able to on other devices. That will depend on your device's media player.

The audio on the other be can sped up or slowed down on the iPod. In order to do this you will first have to change the file type. To do so:

• Download the lecture you need from the "Audiobook/iPod Only" tab.

• Add it to your iPod as you would any other file.

• On your iPod the lecture will be stored in the "Audiobook" menu option in the music tab.

• Select and start playing the lecture.

• With the lecture playing, press the center button 4 times. You should get a screen that screen that says Speed and either Slow, Normal, or Fast.

• Use the click wheel to change the speed.
