2014 Examination Dates

PART 1: COMPUTER BASED STATION EXAM

The M4 CCA computer-based exam opens on Tuesday, May 27 at 8:00AM and will remain open through Tuesday, June 3 at 11:59PM. You must report to F8409, Neurosciences Hospital to complete this portion of the exam and you will need to complete all computer stations in one sitting. Additional information/instruction about the computer-based exam is located in the “Exam Information and Educational Resources link listed below.

PART 2: CLINICAL EXAM

Dates:
Wednesday, May 28 through Friday, May 30
Monday, June 2 through Tuesday, June 3

Times:
8:30AM-1:00PM (report to the lobby of the LRC at 8:00AM)
1:30PM-6:00PM (report to the lobby of the LRC at 1:00PM)

CLINICAL EXAM SIGN-UP

The sign-up page for the clinical exam will open on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 8:00AM and will remain open through Friday, May 2 at 11:59PM. During this time, you will have the opportunity to sign up for an exam session on one of the dates listed above. Please keep in mind that assignment to these dates/times will be on a first-come, first-served basis. If you do not sign up for a session, you will be assigned a day and time to take the exam based on available openings. Due to the large size of this year’s class, there will be very few “extra” exam slots, so these will be reserved for students with extenuating circumstances (including, but not limited to: severe illness, death in the family).

**Students will be allowed to switch exam dates/times with other students between May 3rd and 9:00AM May 7th. If you realize that you have a conflict with the time you selected, you must resolve it during this time by finding someone to switch with you and e-mailing Carrie Bernat (cbernat@umich.edu) so that your exam assignments can be changed accordingly. NO SWITCHING WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER 9:00AM on TUESDAY, MAY 7. The URL for the sign-up page is:

Make-Up Exams

Thursday, July 24 (AM and PM sessions)
Friday, July 25 (AM only)

*Note these are the only dates offered for the retake exam, so please make sure you schedule accordingly.

Required Equipment

You are required to have the following items with you when you report for the exam:

  • White coat
  • U of M ID (MCard)
  • Watch with a second hand
  • Pen or pencil
  • Reflex hammer
  • Stethoscope
  • Honor Code number
  • Geriatric Pocket Card (print and bring your own or pick one up when you report to the LRC for the exam)
