Transitional Aquatics Program
The Transitional Aquatics Program is for patients who have been discharged from Medsport’s Aquatic Physical Therapy. It is designed to give MedSport patients a means to continue their rehabilitation/strengthening program in an independent manner, under the supervision of MedSport rehabilitation staff.
Transitional Aquatics members will be supervised and periodically assessed by MedSport staff to ensure that goals/exercise progressions are achieved and protocols are followed specific to the member’s diagnosis, problem or surgical procedure.

This program is limited to individuals who have been discharged from MedSport’s Aquatic Physical Therapy Program and who are referred to our services due to their orthopedic diagnosis, problem or surgical procedure.

Patients must be deemed independent with their aquatic therapy program by the attending therapy team prior to joining the program.

As a Transitional Aquatics member, you will be instructed on exercises that address the problem for which you were being treated. This pool is not to be used for leisure activities.

Fees must be paid in-full prior to using the facility.

Once a Transitional Aquatics member, you are allowed to renew your membership until your rehabilitation goals are achieved (subject to the discretion of MedSport staff).

To begin the Transitional Program, you must schedule a one-hour orientation session.
- Pool use is limited to one hour per visit and you are expected to vacate the pool in a timely manner at the end of posted hours. Please plan enough time for dressing and grooming.

5:30 – 6:30 p.m.Tues, Thur.:
Noon – 1 p.m.
5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
NOTE: No one is allowed to use the pool outside of these posted hours. You must be supervised by a staff member at all times.
