MedSport: Athletic Training Residency

The University of Michigan, MedSport in Ann Arbor Michigan is offering a post-graduate Athletic Training Clinical Residency Position that will prepare the Athletic Trainers to function as a physician extender in the orthopaedic clinic setting. Patients cared for include pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations referred from both within the hospital as well as from external sources.

Located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, MedSport is a 45,000 square foot state of the art facility that integrates Orthopaedic Surgery, Family Medicine, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training Services and onsite Diagnostic Imaging within the same physical space to provide patients with optimum care. Our staff dedicates itself to providing the best orthopaedic sports medicine care by being involved in cutting edge research and technology in the practice of sports medicine. MedSport provides services to professional athletes, Olympic athletes, collegiate athletes, high school athletes, recreational athletes as well as active individuals.

The residency is 1 year, term limited, beginning July 1, 2012. Applications will be accepted until April 30 followed by interviews for the top candidates. Candidates will be notified of acceptance as soon as possible after the interviews are concluded.
