Admission to the Academy is competitive. Applicants must submit a completed application, transcript, and personal statement along with science teacher and counselor recommendations*. (NOTE: Please review application before submission to ensure that it is complete and responsive.) A refundable fee of $50 is required at the time of application submission. This fee will be applied to the program enrollment fee upon acceptance into the Academy.

The fee for the 2-week program is $1500 and covers tuition, classroom materials, room/board, and weekend outing expenses.

Financial aid will be available to students who demonstrate a financial need; partial and full fee waivers will be granted.  Please note: to be considered for financial aid, applicants must complete the Financial Aid portion of the application and submit all required information.  Please send all requested information, and note deadline dates to be considered for financial aid.

*Ypsilanti High School HOPE participants are also required to submit HOPE recommendation form and are eligible for a tuition scholarship. Please contact the HOPE Program Director for details at 734-764-8185.
