Student Organizations: Obstetrics and Gynecology Student Interest Group

The student interest group for the University of Michigan Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology meets periodically to discuss topics of interest for all levels of medical students.

Two national organizations – The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the Association for Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) – also have web sites of particular interest to medical students.

On the ACOG site you will find medical information as well as how to apply for membership to ACOG as a medical student.

Through the APGO site you have access to brochures specifically for medical students. Of particular interest is the "Women’s Health Care Competencies for Medical Students". This can be found at www.APGO.org/members/.
