Student Biomedical Research Program
The Student Biomedical Research Program (SBRP) at the University of Michigan Medical School provides a mentored, funded 10-week research experience for first year medical students or those that will enter medical school in the fall of the current year. Research projects are generally focused on basic science, clinical science, or a combination thereof. Medical Education projects accompanied by a hypothesis and research plan are also encouraged.
The SBRP unit is responsible for administrative support to the faculty director, solicitation and review of applications, student notifications of acceptance, tracking of awards and research proposal progression, SBRP Fall Forum event planning and administration, SBRP grant submissions and annual reports, and support to participating students and mentors.
