The Admissions Office at the University of Michigan Medical School is responsible for the recruitment and selection of talented and promising applicants for the M.D. Degree. The office also works collaboratively with the Medical Scientist Training Program to ensure a streamlined admissions process for M.D./Ph.D. candidates and fair application of admittance policies and procedures.
As a team, the Admissions Office directs and manages program marketing; the application and acceptance process; recruitment of faculty, students, and alumni for interview days; planning and coordination of Second Look Weekend; alumni relations; program data and analysis; and, in collaboration with the Office of Financial Aid, scholarship disbursement.
