July 1: Yellow parking being converted to Blue parking at Wall St. M76 Lot
To accommodate the increased patient parking needs at the Kellogg Eye Center, effective Tuesday, July 1, Yellow Permit parking in the Wall St. M76 Lot will be converted to Blue Permit parking. A Gold or Blue AVI Permit will be required to park in the Lot.

We regret that this change affects the current Yellow Permit parkers in the area. For those who cannot or choose not to upgrade to a Blue AVI Permit and who work up the hill on the Medical Campus, we suggest the following parking and transportation options:

  • Park in the Fuller Rd. North (NC78 - Orange) Lot and take the Commuter Southbound bus to multiple Medical Campus bus stops Mon. - Fri., every 10 mins., 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.; and every 15 mins., 7:30 p.m. - 1 a.m.
  • Park in the Hubbard/Hayward (NC46 - Orange) Lot or Hayward/Hubbard (NC53 - Yellow & Orange) Lot and take the Northwood Southbound bus to bus stops at Couzens Hall or Alice Lloyd Hall, Mon. - Fri., every 10 mins., 6:55 a.m. - 6:35 p.m. or take the Commuter Northbound bus to Glazier Way. Stay on the bus when it begins its Southbound route to multiple Medical Campus bus stops Mon. - Fri., every 10 mins., 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.; every 15 mins., 7:30 p.m. - 1 a.m.
  • Park in the Crisler Arena (SC7 - Orange) Lot and take the Commuter Northbound bus to multiple Medical Campus bus stops Mon. - Fri., every 10 mins., 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.; every 15 mins., 7:30 pm - 1 a.m.

For those who work at KEC and cannot or choose not to upgrade to a Blue AVI permit, we suggest parking at the Green Rd. Park & Ride (NC37 - Free) Lot. Take the UMHS Intercampus bus to Wall St. and multiple Medical Campus bus stops Mon. - Fri., every 20 mins., 6:40 a.m. - 7:10 p.m. or take the AATA Route No. 2 bus to Maiden Lane and multiple Medical Campus bus stops Mon.- Fri., every 14 mins., 6:25 a.m. - 9:35 p.m.; just show your MCard.

We hope that these alternatives are helpful and that the upcoming change results in minimal inconvenience to our Yellow Permit parkers.
