March 7 and 8: 90th Annual Galens Smoker: "Billy Medicine"
The Galens Smoker is a theatrical production written and produced entirely by medical students. The annual show pokes fun at the medical community at-large through singing, dancing, music and acting. This year's show, "Billy Medicine" follows a group of U-M doctors who are discovered to never have passed medical school, and thus must go back and complete all four years in a matter of weeks or risk losing their jobs. Hilarity and hijinx ensure as these docs stumble their way through med school! Performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8 in the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre in the Michigan League.
Tickets can be purchased from Smoker Cast members in the Medical School Lobby and in the University Hospital Cafeteria from 11a.m. - 2 p.m. Feb. 25 - 29 and March 3 - 7. Tickets will be $10 when purchased in person, $11 online, or $12 at the door the evening of the performance.
Remaking American Medicine: Hand in Hand
UMHS Patient & Family Centered Care Committee invites faculty, staff and students to view the fourth episode of "Remaking American Medicine," a four-part PBS series that explores innovative solutions to quality of care issues being taken by health care institutions, from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, in the MCHC Auditorium.
Episode 4: "Hand in Hand" focuses on how unique partnerships between patients, families, and providers are tranforming a teaching hospital.
A panel discussion with Health System leadership will follow viewing of "Hand in Hand."

Writing a systematic review?
Writing a Systematic Review? Do you need help with literature searching for a systematic review or practice guideline? Librarians at the Health Sciences Libraries are expert searchers and can meet with you to devise search strategies in biomedical databases to ensure that you are doing a complete search. Alternately, librarians can do the searches for you for modest fees. For more information, e-mail medical.library@umich.edu, medlibrary@med.umich.edu or call the Reference Desk at 734-763-3071.
