Ypsilanti Health Center

This UMHS facility is run by the Departments of Family Medicine and Pediatrics, and serves a diverse patient population (many of whom are Medicaid insured or underinsured). Ypsilanti Health Center includes a clinic for Spanish-speaking patients, and it is a favorite practice site for those interested in Family Medicine and outpatient pediatrics. “I was surprised that there were so many opportunities to help underserved populations in our neighborhood. My rotation in Ypsi was one of the most eye-opening experiences I‘ve had this year. I would recommend that everyone participates in at least one opportunity to work with underserved populations.”
