Migrant Worker Health Clinic

This clinic provides basic healthcare services to migrant workers and their families at the Henry DuRussel potato farm in Manchester, MI. The clinic runs June through October each year, with patients ranging in age from infant to elderly, and medical issues from sprains and strains to vaccination needs and chronic disease management.

“The faculty and residents that I worked with were wonderful in guiding me and teaching me clinical skills. There are also opportunities to pursue these interests on a deeper and more involved level. For example, if a student starts working at the migrant workers clinic, he/she may pursue further volunteer experiences with Spanish-speaking communities both abroad and in Michigan with various faculty members. The opportunities are endless at this institution.”
