Dear Towsley Center customer:

Thank you for utilizing the Towsley Conference Center (TCC) for your events. We are writing to let you know about changes to our reservation system and service levels that will be provided.

Current reservations will be honored, but as of January 2, 2014 all current and future events will experience a change in service levels provided. Towsley Center staff will be relocated within the Medical School and will no longer be available to schedule events, nor will they be on-site to provide service during events.

This staffing change means customers of the TCC space will work directly with their own selected caterers and vendors to arrange all aspects of their events. This includes coordination of the set-up and tear down of tables, chairs, linens, audio-visual and any food and/or beverage needs. TCC users will also be responsible for contracting for a projectionist, if required. In addition, there will be staff and custodial charges for events held outside normal business hours.

A limited number of tables and chairs will be available for use in the Lobby of TCC. Users will be responsible for returning any equipment used on site after your event to the storage area located on the second floor of TCC. All equipment rented from outside vendors must be removed following events.

Beginning January 13, 2014, reservations for the TCC — which mainly include the Dow Auditorium, Sheldon Auditorium, lobby and dining room — will be made through the ScheduleOn reservation system at:

ScheduleOn will allow you to see what facilities and space are available, and a series of prompts will guide you through the automated scheduling process.

We hope this change to ScheduleOn and awareness of our new service levels will help you in planning for future events. We look forward to working with you to make your events a success.
