Linda Potter, B.S., M.S., joined the Michigan Diabetes and Research Training Center as administrator in May 2006. Ms. Potter has more than 20 years of experience in health care administration at the University of Michigan Health System. Most recently, she was the manager of Quality Improvement and Accreditation where responsibilities included assuring Health System compliance with the Joint Commission.
Previously, Ms. Potter was affiliated with M-CARE, the HMO developed by the University of Michigan. Ms. Potter was integrally involved in the development of the Diabetes Disease Management Program during her tenure at M-CARE. Ms. Potter was also affiliated with the University of Michigan's Dental School where she developed and implemented the Dental Faculty Practice. Ms. Potter began her career in Internal Medicine as the operations manager for the Department of Internal Medicine's 17 outpatient services. Prior to joining UMHS, she was affiliated with the Michigan Department of Community Health, where for 12 years she developed and implemented a quality control program for products produced by MDCH's Bureau of Laboratories Division.
