Movement Disorder Surgery Program
The University of Michigan Movement Disorder Surgery Program applies the latest neurosurgical approaches to the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, essential and other action tremor disorders, torticollis (wry neck) or other forms of dystonia, and tremor associated with multiple sclerosis. Surgeons in the program have expertise in a broad range of specialized treatment strategies including focal radiofrequency ablation, motor cortex stimulation, and deep brain stimulation (DBS).
