Movement disorders are neurological conditions that affect the speed, quality, and/or ease of movement, and can be classified into two major categories:
- Hyperkinesias: Disorders in which there is excessive movement.
- Hypokinesias: Disorders in which there is a slowing or absence of movement that is not due to weakness or paralysis.
