Do I have to do anything now to continue my current M-CARE coverage for my employees?
No, you do not need to do anything.
What happens at renewal?
If your renewal takes place after the sale has closed, you will contacted by the Blues.
Will my premiums increase?
Your current premiums will remain unchanged through the end of your contract.
Will my employees’ co-pays and premiums change?
Your current plan will remain unchanged through the end of your current contract.
Will my group health plan automatically be moved to a Blues plan and what if I have a plan that’s not offered by the Blues?
You will be contacted after the sale by a representative from BCBSM to review your available options.
Will M-CARE’s Web site (mcare.org) and M-CARE Connect (secure Internet portal) be maintained in 2007?
Use them for now. If there is a change, you will receive ample notice.
Will my employees be able to continue seeing the same doctor and using the same hospital?
In most cases, the answer is yes. Please be aware that providers can change networks from time to time.
