Materiel Services

Ordering Instruments

An ambulatory care site may order reprocessed instruments by filling out and faxing either a Materiel Services Requisition or a Custom Requisition.  All orders faxed to the MSC desk are filled at night and delivered the next day.  These instruments are the property of Central Sterile Supply and are to be returned for reprocessing after use.  Internal patient care areas or clinics can arrange for totes in which to soak used instruments and transport them to and from CSPD.   Contact the CSPD Manager Julia Jackson at 66162 or pager #32626.  She will label and send two totes for your clinic so you will have one in your "soiled" room while the other is in transit. External patient care areas or clinics should contact Karen Bett to arrange for courier services.  Please keep inventories as small as possible to minimize space needed for storage and reduce instrument costs.
