Images

These images give a general sense of the areas available to the U-M Health System for expansion, and some of the possible ways in which buildings, parking and open space could be configured at those sites.

A view of the Medical Campus showing existing buildings, and potential building sites and open spaces. Existing buildings and those already under construction are gray-brown, parking structures (existing and potential) are gray and potential building sites are reddish-brown. The core medical center and the Wall Street area are both visible; the new UMHS master plan integrates the two areas as one campus including buildings and transportation. Please note: Neither this image nor the master plan contains plans for specific projects or buildings, other than the Children's & Women's Hospital Replacement Project recently approved by the Regents. Rather, the plan and its images will guide the Health System as it examines the ongoing need for new facilities and seeks the approval of the U-M Board of Regents for individual projects.
