A 26-year-old male computer programmer is seen for a routine insurance exam. No symptoms. FH. Mother died of heart attack at age 42. SH. Former varsity swimmer. Still quite athletic. Runs about 10 miles per week. Physical Examination: BP 110/70, P 64+reg., R 12. Examination entirely normal except for the apex impulse which was forceful and sustained.
