CFM: a student perspective. 1:47

Clinical Foundations of Medicine (CFM) is a course interspersed throughout the first two years of medical school. The goal of the course is to provide students with the clinical skills and experiences necessary to succeed when they begin seeing patients in the third year. In CFM, students learn to perform physical examinations, develop communication skills and are trained in diagnostic reasoning. Laboratories, lectures and small group sessions are used to teach the materials.
