screens

Features
  • The Primer - this is a brief multimedia tutorial on the eight basic cadences. Learn and listen to the sounds, murmurs, and timings that make up the cadences. See where to position the stethoscope to best hear the cadences.
  • The Heart Sound Challenge - use this game-like environment to develop your mastery of the cadences. Here you will be presented with the cadences and asked to identify them with a quick tap to the screen. Try for 24 in-a-row and try as often as you like. A quick and fun way to learn without getting bored.
Bonus
  • Compare Mode - with this feature, you can quickly compare cadences (and their diagrams) with one another. This is a good way to quickly compare and distinguish the differences between cadences that sound similar.
Audience
  • Anyone wishing to develop or refresh their basic cardiac auscultation skills. Medical students, nursing students, physicians, physician assistants, health science professionals and students, EMS personnel, etc.
