1. Review the bony landmarks.

2 Dissect the dorsum of the foot.

3. Remove the skin and subcutaneous tissue from the plantar foot.

4. Identify and dissect the medial, lateral and central compartments of the foot, identifying fascia, ligaments, muscles, vessels and nerves.

5. Dissect the adductor-interosseous compartment of the foot, identifying fascia, ligaments, muscles, vessels and nerves.

6. Open the ankle by removing the anterior and posterior capsules.

7. Remove the overlying tissue and clean the ligaments of the plantar surface of the foot.
