The list below is an archive of the anatomy announcements.
(10/02/08) In the Musculoskeletal sequence, we will study the Superficial Limbs, Axilla, Posterior Shoulder, and Arm, Forearm, Hand, Anterior and Medial Thigh, Hip and Posterior Thigh and Leg, Leg and Foot, and Joints of the Upper and Lower Limbs in lab, and Learning Modules entitled "Movements of the Upper Limb", "Movements of the Lower Limb", and "Introduction to Joints". Also, be sure to review the new Radiology Learning Modules that cover radiology of the limbs (password protected).
(09/02/08) In the Cells and Tissues sequence, we will study the Superficial Back, Deep Back and Spinal Cord, and Pectoral Region and Breast in lab, and Learning Modules entitled "Anatomical Orientation", "Introduction to the Nervous System", and "Spinal Cord and Spinal Nerve".
(06/26/08) Welcome Class of 2012. This summer, we are working on several new projects designed to help you learn gross anatomy. We are developing learning modules for each dissection lab, as well as radiology learning modules for each sequence.
Visit the virtual tour of the Anatomy facilities to become familiar with our area. Review the Introduction to Gross Anatomy to learn how we approach gross anatomy instruction here at the University of Michigan Medical School.
We will have an Introduction to Gross Anatomy on Monday, August 25, at 1pm. Here, we will discuss the emotions and ethics involved in anatomical donation and human dissection, and you will be introduced to your lab partners, with whom you will be working for the succeeding eight months.
Before our first lab session on September 2, please review the web materials for Superficial Back. Also, review the Learning Modules entitled "Anatomical Orientation" and "Introduction to the Nervous System".
