General Information about Textbooks
The medical gross anatomy web site will provide you with everything you need to do well in gross anatomy. However, there are many different learning styles, and some students learn well by reading textbooks. And, although there are atlas images available on the web, students may find a paper copy of an atlas helpful. Below are the recommended text resources as well as some additional resources that students may find helpful.

Tank, Patrick W. and Gest, Thomas R. 2008 Lippincott Williams & Wilkins Atlas of Anatomy. Lippincott, ISBN: 978-0-7817-8505-1 - This new atlas employs selective use of color, labeling, and transparency to enhance learning.
Netter, Frank H. 2006 Atlas of Human Anatomy, 4th edition, Elsevier, ISBN: 9781416033851 - These classic images are the standard for most anatomists and surgeons.
