The 2005 edition of Tortora is the recommended text for the Anatomy 401 course this year. This is a clearly written and well-illustrated text which continues to enjoy success in undergraduate anatomy classes among many colleges and universities across the country. The text has a very effective design which you can learn more about by reading the text's preface. In fact, you are strongly encouraged to do so. In terms of course design, your text will be the primary source of anatomical information you will need to work with in the course. Lectures will essentially revolve around the text.

Current edition. Williams & Wilkins.

This dictionary is highly recommended because of its thorough content, clarity of writing, and the many excellent illustrations. this particular dictionary should be a useful addition to your collection of texts and should continue to serve as a handy reference as you proceed with your health sciences careers. (Dental Hygiene students may wish to substitute the "Dorland's Dictionary".)
