UMHS Principles and Leadership Expectations
Each business unit of the Health System has a customized new employee orientation program which includes training on our principles, mission, vision, goals and objectives. The Hospitals and Health Centers’ orientation - Michigan Traditions and Values - is held every Monday and provides individuals with an introduction to our culture, values and the importance of service excellence. More importantly, new employees are provided with information on the vast array of resources available to them.

Leadership at All Levels
The goal of Leadership at All Levels is to provide each and every employee with skills that enable them to contribute to institutional goals as well as achieve personal goals. We offer leadership development training and education programs to ensure the success of each Health System employee, regardless of level in the organization. Currently, we provide two venues for employees to learn more about and discuss leadership, and see leaders in action: Leadership Brown Bags and Leaders at All Levels ½ Day Seminars. More info
