Department of Internal Medicine Staff Awards for Excellence

The Department of Internal Medicine is deeply appreciative of the many extraordinary contributions made by its staff employees on a daily basis.  Beginning in FY15, in an effort to formally acknowledge those contributions, annual Awards for Excellence are given to our staff who embody the values, skills and behaviors reflected in our Department’s Guiding Principles for Service Excellence (see below). Annually, three distinct categories are recognized:

* Award for Excellence in Research Activities
(typically persons working as research assistants, laboratory staff, program managers, clinical research coordinators)

*Award for Excellence in Teaching/Administrative Activities
(typically persons working as financial staff, administrative assistants, program managers)

* Award for Excellence in Clinical Support Activities
(typically persons working in clinics or inpatient settings, with direct patient contact)

Eligibility:

Eligible are Medical School, Hospital and ACU staff who have held a current primary appointment in Internal Medicine for at least two years (since January 1, 2014). Nominee must have a current Internal Medicine appointment as of the award ceremony on April 27, 2016.

We celebrate all of the staff who demonstrate outstanding performance in these areas and encourage their nomination for one of these awards. Nominations will be accepted through January 31, 2016.  Only those nominations received by 11:59 p.m., January 31, 2016 are eligible for consideration.  The nomination form must be filled out completely for your nomination to be considered by the Selection Committee.  Entries will not be returned to nominator.
