Thank you for your interest in Pulmonary Services at Briarwood Medical Group. This clinic is staffed by pulmonologists from the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Services are available by appointment on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
For your first visit to the Briarwood Pulmonary Clinic, you will need to arrive fifteen minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time for registration. Please bring your health insurance information with you to the visit. Your insurance carrier may require an authorized referral for your first visit. Please insure you have the appropriate referral form with you at the time you come in for your appointment. Payment for services not covered by your insurance plan or any insurance co-payments, are expected at the time of service. If you have questions or concerns regarding billing issues, please contact either your insurance carrier or our billing office at area code (734) 647-9000 #4. Questions specifically related to M-Care Insurance should be directed to M-Care Member Services at area code (734) 747-8700.
It is also important that you bring with you copies of any information from your medical record which is pertinent to your condition, reports from any pulmonary function tests performed, chest x-rays and reports, and the names and doses of all medications you are currently taking. Additionally, so that we may communicate the results of your visit to your primary care physician, it is important that you bring your physician's name, address, and phone number to your visit, along with any written referral information.
