Major Clinical Interests: Critical care medicine, exercise physiology, pulmonary rehabilitation and transtracheal oxygen therapy
Major Research Interests: Cellular and molecular biology of the alveolar epithelium, with focus on the role of alveolar epithelial cells in pulmonary inflammatory responses; alveolar epithelial cell differentiation; role of lung volume reduction surgery in the care of patients with emphysema.
