PKD is one of the most common, life threatening "genetic" kidney diseases that affect 1 in 500 people world wide. With PKD, cysts form on the kidneys and eventually lead to kidney failure.
Currently, there is no cure! But there is hope!
Part of the mission of the PKD Foundation is to educate and create awareness about Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD).
The 2009 Detroit Walk for PKD is coming up on Saturday, September 26, 2009. It will take place at Boulan Park in Troy, MI (Crooks Rd., north of Big Beaver) from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.
