Akira Abe, Ph.D.

Research Summary:

Dr. Abe is working on developing new inhibitors of glucosylceramide synthase and applying them to glycosphingolipidosis in vitro and in vivo, and cloning and characterization of lysosomal phospholipase A2 (1-O-acylceramide synthase).
