Our Residents
In addition to the superb training you will receive in our program, we believe that our residents are our greatest strength. We are fortunate to attract outstanding residents from around the country. We are large enough to have a distinct identity within each department, yet small enough to form close relationships with one another. This collegial environment makes the University of Michigan an outstanding environment in which to pursue your Med-Peds training.
Our program hosts a number of social activities designed to get the residents to know each other better. These activities have included the annual welcome picnic, the annual "switch party" to help prepare the interns for their first switch between Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, bowling outings, miniature golf tournaments, wine tasting, group running events and ice skating. Residents also participate fully in the activities of the two departments, including regular retreats, parties and social outings.
