University of Michigan Combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program
The University of Michigan is home to one of the top medical centers in the country, and its international reputation attracts patients from around the world. During your training, you will care for patients with a broad spectrum of disease from those with community-acquired pneumonia or RSV to some of the most interesting and unusual diseases seen anywhere in the world. We are fortunate to provide care for a diverse patient population, with patients representing a wide variety of ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
The University of Michigan Health System supports the University Hospital, C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, The University of Michigan Cancer Center, The University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center, and The Kellogg Eye Center, in addition to a number of satellite clinics throughout our community. In addition, our medical center maintains a strong relationship with the Veterans Affairs (VA) Ann Arbor Healthcare Center, which is located less than one mile from the from the medical campus and is staffed by a number of faculty who have joint appointments at the University and VA hospitals. Our training facilities are consistently ranked among the top hospitals in the nation for general and subspecialty care in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics by U.S. News and World Report.
