Nucleotide Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors work by being incorporated into the viral DNA, making it ineffective.

Viread (tenofovir DF)

Usual Dosage
1 X 300mg tablet once per day
Take with meals

Side Effects to report to your doctor immediately

  • Nausea, Vomiting or Diarrhea
  • Intestinal gas

Drug Interactions and Incompatibility

  • Can be taken with other HIV meds but must be taken 2 hours apart from  Videx EC
  • Take as prescribed and report any and all side effects to your physician.

All of your Antiviral Medications must be taken exactly as prescribed, without skipping or altering doses. Please notify you doctor if you have any problems with these or any of your medicines.
