Serzone (nefazodone)
Classification: Serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor antidepressant
Form: 100mg, 150mg, 200mg, and 250mg tablet
Usual Dosage: 100mg twice per day not to exceed 300mg twice per day
**Dose reduction may be necessary in patients taking Protease Inhibitors**
Instructions: can be taken with or without food
Side effects to report to your doctor
- suicide thoughts
- problems urinating
- insomnia or somulence
- nausea / vomiting /diarrhea
- dry mouth
- headache
- dizziness
- sexual dysfunction (ejaculatory delay)
- unusual dreams
Precautions
Use with caution in people with heart disease
*Can cause an increase in suicidal thoughts*
