Improving In Patient Education

A description of the main goals of the initiative:

This project aims to improve the education of patients hospitalized at the University Hospital for a wide variety of disease processes.  This will be accomplished by coordinating with the office of Patient Education (Ruti Volk) as well as improving and standardizing resources to be used for this endeavor.

A brief discussion of the scope of the project, and the interventions and metrics, if appropriate:
Metrics:

Availability of Educational materials for different disease processes.  Assessing the quality of educational materials for different disease processes

Interventions:

Discover and create new materials to assist in educating patients, increase awareness of availability of these materials
