Lean In Daily Work or Lean-Implementation-Team (LIT) on 7A

A description of the main goals of the initiative:

This project aims to produce a framework for all frontline clinicians to be involved in improving their work. This has been started by providing basic training in Lean Thinking as well as setting up regular quality metrics, huddles and interventions based upon issues uncovered.  Previous issues addressed have included RN-tech communication, bedside report, and preventing falls.

A brief discussion of the scope of the project, and the interventions and metrics, if appropriate:

Vary based on specific focused issue/intervention at any particular time, previous ones have included # of falls on the unit, and % of times that RN communicates with technician


Increasing MD and specifically MFH involvement in this process
