Target Audience
This course is directed to family and general practitioners, gastroenterologists, internists, and other primary care providers including nurse practitioners and physician assistants interested in expanding their knowledge of clinical hepatology.

Course Description / Objectives
New information regarding the management of hepatitis C, fatty liver disease, liver cancer, and liver failure will be presented.  In addition, case based discussions of the current approach to patients with hepatitis C, fatty liver and liver cancer will be provided.

Accreditation & Credit Designation
The University of Michigan Medical School is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  The University of Michigan Medical School designates this live activity for a maximum of 4 AMA PRA Category 1 credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

An application has been submitted to the American Osteopathic Association for credits.  Other credits by specialty may apply.

Nurses: The Michigan State Board of Nursing recognizes the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) as an approved provider of continuing medical education for nurses.  CME credits awarded at this program may be applied to the 25 hour relicensing requirements, per Rule 2.a., Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Transplant Certification: Category I Continuing Education Points for Transplant Certification (CEPTCs) have been applied for through the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC).
