Target Audience
This course is directed to gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare providers including nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, and physician assistants involved in the management of patients with cirrhosis and advanced liver disease.

Course Objectives
The goal of this course is for the following objectives to be understood and utilized within your practice:

Accreditation & Credit Designation
The University of Michigan Medical School is accredited by the
Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)
to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The
University of Michigan Medical School designates this live activity
for a maximum of 6 AMA PRAC ategory 1 credits™. Physicians
should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their
participation in the activity. An application has been submitted to
the American Osteopathic Association for credits. Other credits
by specialty may apply.

Nurses: The Michigan State Board of Nursing recognizes the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) as an approved provider of continuing medical education for nurses. CME credits awarded at this program may be applied to the 25 hour relicensing requirements, per Rule 2.a., Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Social Work: An application has been submitted for CEs,and an approval is pending with the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative.

Transplant Certification: Category I Continuing Education Points for Transplant Certification (CEPTCs) have been approved through the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC).
