Target Audience
This course is directed to gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare providers including nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, and physician assistants involved in the management of patients with cirrhosis and advanced liver disease.

Course Objectives
The goal of this course is for the following objectives to be understood and utilized within your practice:
- Improve understanding of when and how to treat patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
- Improve understanding of the indications and outcomes with direct acting antiviral agents in patients with chronic hepatitis C
- Improve understanding of the indications and outcomes of bariatric surgery in patients with metabolic syndrome and NASH
- Expand knowledge of the indications and outcomes of pancreaticobiliary endoscopy in patients with liver disease
- Expand knowledge of frailty assessment and physical rehabilitation in patients with cirrhosis
- Understand current and future applications of fecal transplantation for Clostridium difficile infection and other gastrointestinal diseases
- Improve understanding of process of obtaining medical insurance and prescription coverage in patients with advanced liver disease
- Increase awareness of the growing incidence of liver disease in the elderly and unique aspects of caring for elderly individuals with liver disease
