The Department’s clinical activity continues to grow, and we continuously seek innovative and more patient-friendly avenues for the individuals who come to our clinics or are cared for by our physicians in the hospital.   The Department’s research portfolio and prowess are impressive, and this Department ranks fourth in the nation for National Institutes of Health award funding.  We are exploring strategies to grow our patient-oriented clinical and translational research – to be at the forefront of what patients want and need most: answers that can positively affect their conditions.
