MHealthy Wellness Assessments

The 2009 MHealthy Wellness Assessment program saw more than 17,700 faculty and staff complete the health questionnaire. Data collected from the questionnaire revealed the University employee population's top five health risks by prevalence are weight (37 percent), back care (32 percent), exercise (24 percent), cholesterol (25 percent), and stress (20 percent). The 2010 MHealthy Wellness Assessment program will launch in early January.

Travel and Business Hosting Expense Policy

The University’s revised Travel and Business Hosting Expense Policy (Standard Practice Guide 507.10-1 and 507.10-2) was issued Oct. 15, 2009. Revisions to the policy include the implementation of per diem rates for travel meals and incidentals (not lodging) for domestic (continental U.S) travel; the timing around the submission of expense reports and the booking of flights; and guidelines for the appropriate selection of lodging.

Holiday Hours

During the upcoming holiday season, Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day, a number of retail and food outlets, such as the gift shops and Einstein Bros., and support services, such as white coat laundering, will have adjusted holiday schedules. The best resource for these adjusted hours is the Daily Bulletin throughout the season. If you work in an ambulatory care setting, speak with your clinic supervisor for your clinic’s specific schedule.
