Kazerooni named president of American Roentgen Ray Society
Ella Kazerooni, M.D., was named 2009-2010 president of the American Roentgen Ray Society in an April 26 ceremony. Kazerooni is a professor of radiology at the University of Michigan Medical School, and director of the Division of Cardiothoracic Radiology. She is also a trustee on the American Board of Radiology. The American Roentgen Ray Society is the oldest radiology society in the United States, and is named after Wilhelm Roentgen, the first Nobel Laureate in Physics, who discovered the x-ray. It currently boasts over 20,000 members worldwide.
